"Have had a life policy with State Farm for over 40 years. Have had auto insurance for multiple vehicles and drivers for over 5 years. First, State Farm dropped our roadside assistance due to claims on a car we no longer even owned. (We got rid of it due to the issues it was having and I made them fully aware of that fact.) At that time, I stated I should drop the coverage and find a new insurer, as is my right. This is not this agent’s fault of course, and at the time, they did try to fix it. I will give credit for that, and remained with the company and agent because of that effort. That is why I am giving two stars instead of 1. A few months later, our billing got messed up when we got a new debit card. When the agent’s assistant called, I told her that I would go in and change the debit card number on the app online. She insisted that she had to have our debit card number in order to change it themselves. I explained to her that was not the case and I would change it online. She continued to insist and even had the agent call me back and state the same misinformation. This, understandably, became tiresome as I was trying to work. I then called corporate, at which time I was told that yes, I could, in fact, change the payment information securely on the website and did not have to give the agent our card information. I asked State Farm corporate to please give the agent that information and training as it was tiresome to receive multiple phone calls insisting that they had to have our debit card information when that wasn’t correct. A few months later, we dropped a driver from the policy and added another driver, stating at that time that the driver we were adding would be the principle driver of her vehicle. The premium was still higher, even after we dropped one driver that was male and younger and added a female driver. Still a young driver, but older than the one we dropped. They couldn’t give us a reasonable answer as to this surprise increase. No claims. No tickets. Nothing. I received a call from them today that they had mislabeled one of the drivers in my household, even though when we added the driver, we told them that the driver was the primary driver for the vehicle she drives. Now, they call stating that due to the error, our quote that we have been paying over $550 a month for for many months is now going up another $111.00 a month. No accidents. No tickets. Nothing. Their clerical error, going to mess up our budget, again. Understandably, this is a blow in an already tough economy. I told them this was upsetting and it was very frustrating that we had told them she was the principle driver from the get go and that they were now increasing again. I was frustrated. The assistant put the agent on the line and I told them again that I should move my business elsewhere. He said, “Go ahead and do that. You threaten it every time you call.” Yes, when customers get bad service, misinformation, and increased premiums every time they get on the phone with your agency, they tend to feel that way and want to change companies or agents. And, those words can and do come out of their mouth."

"We have a policy for our workshop through this agency. When I called to change locations, and use, I was assured we would have a new policy the next day. We did not hear back for nearly a week. I proceeded to sign a 3 year commercial lease. It was only after we called and emailed for a followup, did we FINALLY find out, that they can no longer cover us. We are now left scrambling for a new policy. It seems that once we were no longer a revenue source, they couldn't even bother to proactively give me a heads up before signing our new lease (which the rep was aware of)."

"I recently purchased a life insurance policy from Clinton Bruner State Farm. The agent I spoke with, Brooke was polite, patient, and helpful as she explained the pros and cons of the varying policies. Every question I had was answered and I was ultimately able to purchase a policy that fit my needs and budget. Brooke also set up a new car insurance policy for me at a lower rate and better coverage than I previously had. I am extremely satisfied with my experience and am glad to have a new insurance carrier that's looking out for me."
